ATM = Automatically Terri’s Money

by Anonymousreply 4September 8, 2023 7:58 PM

And here I thought it was called Saud Fool.

About a wayward princeling running a bodega in some shit area of Chi-Town.

by Anonymousreply 5September 8, 2023 8:10 PM

I always hated the way Terri was viewed by her family.

My husband’s name is written all over my kitty.

by Anonymousreply 7September 8, 2023 9:55 PM

Fuck the family! I let the family in my house and the family fucked my husband!

There was a Showtime series from the 2000s that lasted several seasons.

Interestingly, Miss America Vanessa Williams starred in the film.

Melrose Place Vanessa Williams starred on the TV show.

But they played different sisters.

Y'all got any mo' chitlins?

by Anonymousreply 10September 8, 2023 10:38 PM

This movie has the vibe of a Christmas movie, but I think there’s only like a few minutes that it’s Christmas time.

Anyone else cry when Mama Jo died?

by Anonymousreply 12September 8, 2023 10:56 PM

Did they white voice them like they do in commercials?

by Anonymousreply 13September 8, 2023 10:58 PM

R13 definitely not. Other than Vanessa who just talked like she always does

Spoiler Alert!!!

by Anonymousreply 15September 8, 2023 11:17 PM

My, this movie certainly looks... ethnic.

Do you mean did they speak proper English instead of Ebonics?

by Anonymousreply 17September 8, 2023 11:45 PM

No, I know I may be called racist, but you can tell, almost always, whether or not a white or black person is speaking. There are a ton of commercials on TV where the actors are black. Plopped into a white world with their voices dubbed by white actors.

Love, love, love Vivica A. Fox in this. I think she's my favorite character.

by Anonymousreply 19September 11, 2023 3:03 PM

Her character was a total bitch for stealing her sister's boyfriend.

by Anonymousreply 20September 11, 2023 6:20 PM

R20 Didn't watch the movie.

by Anonymousreply 21September 13, 2023 1:42 PM

Yes, I did. Maxine stole Kenny from Teri. Both of them had the gall to expect Teri to support them!

by Anonymousreply 22September 14, 2023 7:08 PM

Surprised for all their trumpeting about being inclusive and supportive of black divas that these white Yasss Kweens haven’t seen this movie.

by Anonymousreply 23September 14, 2023 7:31 PM

I'll watch it when they celebrate diversity with an all-white cast remake.
