If you are a fan of crime dramas, then a new series just came out that might be interesting to you! The next show to add to your watch is FOX’s anthology drama, Accused.
Created by Jimmy McGovern and based on the British anthology of the same name, the series tells a different story in each episode – different crimes, cities, and characters. The episodes begin in a courtroom, and viewers don’t know what the defendant may be guilty of. Through flashbacks, we’ll see just how they got themselves in the present situation, per the synopsis.
The show certainly has an interesting concept. With Netflix producing successful true-crime programs, is the streamer trying its hand at a fictionalized crime drama too?
Unfortunately, if the show sounds intriguing and you were hoping it is streaming on Netflix, we are sorry to say it is not. Accused is produced by FOX, which means the show airs on broadcast television.
The series premiered on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023. On Tuesday, Jan. 24, the second episode will air on FOX. Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET will be the show’s regular timeslot in the future. So if you want to watch the crime drama, you could do so on the network if you have cable. If you don’t, you can watch the show on Hulu, as FOX and other Disney-owned networks stream series next-day on the service.
Accused has multiple stars because of its anthology format. Among the cast are actors Michael Chiklis, Jill Hennessy, Whitney Cummings, Aisha Dee as Aaliyah Harris, Rachel Bilson, Jason Ritter, and more.
Will you be watching the crime anthology? Are you disappointed it’s not on Netflix? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
Accused airs new episodes Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
