For the past month, there have been a lot of rumors regarding the future of Bobby Lashley. His contract was close to expiration, and ever since, there has been a lot of buzz around him not re-signing it. With that being said, WWE’s newest move has almost confirmed the exit of the former Hurt Business member from the company.
WWE recently moved Bobby Lashley from their active roster page to the alumni section. It was an unsurprising move, as the rumors of the departure of the Almighty gained a lot of steam over the past few weeks. However, this move has seemingly burned the bridges between Lashley and WWE. In his last stint, he was a part of an active faction with Street Profits and even competed at WrestleMania XL.
Moreover, the 48-year-old recently alluded to not being on the best of terms with current WWE CCO Triple H. Along with him, his friend and former teammate MVP has also confirmed his departure. The 50-year-old was on loggerheads with The Game as well, which most likely became the reason for his exit.
Furthermore, there were some rumors about Lashley and MVP reuniting the Hurt Business in AEW. There has been no clarification on that as of now. However, the Almighty has been open about his experience in WWE. He recently even revealed that he is planning to step into the boxing ring sooner rather than later.
Bobby Lashley might make his way to AEW
Bobby Lashley was a huge asset for WWE. However, things did not work out between the two parties, leading to the departure of the 48-year-old. Since then, there has been a buzz on the internet about the potential debut of the Almighty in AEW. It is highly likely that Tony Khan will lure the legend with a lucrative offer in the coming weeks.
It was highly speculated that WWE was not offering the amount the former WWE Champion wanted. That being said, AEW is the most plausible destination. With the company having its historic pay-per-view All-In at Wembley later this month, some surprises are expected.
Moreover, Lashley can pair up with his old friend MVP and even Shelton Benjamin to once again reunite The Hurt Business. It is the only sensible option at the moment for the professional wrestling career of the 48-year-old. Other than that, returning to TNA is another option. However, the chances are less likely.
