My oldest celebrated her birthday this week and Facebook is popping up memories from previous years. This morning's memory made me laugh out loud. It is a photo of our four day old daughter, laying on a boppy pillow, staring at black and white flash cards. On day four, after being sent home from the hospital and before my mom arrived, my husband and I didn't know what to do with a baby.

I can still remember feeling terrified when they said that it was time for us to check-out of the hospital. I remember asking our nurse, "So you're just gonna let us take her home?!"

Fast forward to baby #2 and baby #3, when we brought them home, they just ate, slept and pooped. But not our oldest child-we showed her flashcards :)

Have a good weekend,
Mary
