K-pop groups have assigned main vocalists who are tasked to sing most and challenging parts as well as the high notes of their songs. While many vocalists are amazing, there are those who are exceptional as they can belt like it's just a piece of cake.
In this article, we list some of the memorable high notes from skilled K-pop vocalists.
TVXQ - 'Mirotic'
The first on our list is TVXQ's high note in "Mirotic."
It cannot be denied that the boy group is composed of good to great singers. But Changmin's high notes in this song will make you agree that he is not just a handsome face but also an exceptional singer!
SHINee - 'Lucifer'
Another amazing singer from SM Entertainment is the late Jonghyun of SHINee. His super long high note in their hit song "Lucifer" will make you miss the multitalented idol so much more.
GFRIEND - 'Me Gustas Tu'
The song that shot the girl group to fame is none other than "Me Gustas Tu"! It is debatable whether the video of the girl group performing in the rain was the one that made GFRIEND famous or Yuju's high note in the song.
Either way, thanks to those, we have so many more other good songs from them.
EXO - 'El Dorado'
We all know SM Entertainment isn't joking when it comes to their main vocalists' ability to sing high notes.
Aside from TVXQ and SHINee, another proof is EXO's three main vocalists - Chen, Baekhyun and D.O. - who can sing like it's another Tuesday.
Their performance of "El Dorado" in "Exo'luxion" and "EXO'rdium" became a fan favorite since it's where they showed off their amazing vocals.
Bonus: You better not miss EXO's performance of "Wolf" (Remix) during their "EXO PLANET 3" tour if you're getting into the group!
BTOB - 'Insane'
The next group is another group that boasts many exceptional vocalists!
BTOB, from CUBE Entertainment, has two official main vocalists, but the other members are also amazing singers.
With their debut song "Insane," not only Eunkwang and Changsub showed off their amazing skills, but also Hyunsik's singing talents.
Dreamcatcher - 'BOCA'
Another girl group on the list is Dreamcatcher, which is known for rock songs and horror concepts. Though an underrated group, their talents make up for it. Their main vocalist, Siyeon, sings her high notes like it's nothing, which is exceptional.
SuperM - 'Jopping'
Surprise, surprise! Another group from SM Entertainment, but this time, they are a supergroup comprising members from existing SM groups SHINee, EXO, NCT and WayV.
SuperM takes pride in its members Taemin, Baekhyun, Kai, Mark, Ten and Lucas. With their debut "Jopping," the music industry was totally shaken, especially with Baekhyun's long, high note at 4:00 mark that sends chills down your back!
Ateez - 'Inception'
First 4th-generation boy group in our list is the ever-talented ATEEZ!
These amazing performers will not only make you go wow with their hard choreography but also their singing skills.
MAMAMOO - 'Mr. Ambiguous'
This list is definitely not complete without the vocal queens of K-pop, MAMAMOO!
Showing off their amazing voices in every song, it is with their debut song that they first showed what they got and what they will offer in the future.
Solar's high notes at the end of the song will definitely make you stan them.
SPICA - 'You Don't Love Me'
A very talented group that never really made it, SPICA, had amazing vocalists. From their debut song until the last song they released as a group, it can all probably be listed here. But we've chosen "You Don't Love Me" as it is their most well-known song.
FT Island Lee Hongki and N.Flying - 'Still Love You'
Another underrated song on our list, but exceptional vocals, FT Island!
Hongki and N.Flying's Hwiseung definitely showed their exceptional voice in "Still Love You." We can even argue that it is more than exceptional because of Hwiseung's six-octave high notes.
SEVENTEEN - 'Pretty U'
The all-around boy group with known vocalists is definitely included on our list!
SEVENTEEN Seungkwan's three-octave high notes are probably one of the reasons why "Pretty U" is such a fan favorite.
Girls' Generation - 'The Boys'
Yup, another SM Entertainment group!
It is no secret that Girls' Generation's vocalists are amazing. Taeyeon, who is also a soloist, has her fair share of exceptional high notes in many of their songs. But in this list, we included "The Boys" because it is the goosebump-inducing element.
f(x) - 'Nu Abo'
There might be really something different in SM's water because another SM Entertainment group is on our list!
One of the most talented SM main vocals, Luna, showed her perfectly executed a high note in "Nu Abo."
We would include many other songs, but then, this list would be endless because of the amazing vocalists in the K-pop industry.
